David MacPherson’s Dress Cummerbnd

This bowtie was made by Ingles Buchan. David tells us:

My grandson Josh gave me this cummerbund and the bowtie in 2007, when he was 5, for my 65th birthday. We had gone to a holiday house called Brownstone House in Devon. I wore it for our dinner then, and since then I’ve worn it every Christmas, with a dinner jacket and the Dress bowtie. We normally have Christmas dinner in the evening, because when I was in the ministry I was so busy during the day, and I’ve always dressed up for that. I’m not sure if my family expects me to wear this now, but I want to wear it – that’s the important thing. I also wore it to the ball at the Clan Gathering in 2016, where the ‘Dress’ is what seems most appropriate.
